One of our two Directors of Delivery, Clare is responsible for the North West region. The Delivery Directors are key to strengthening the partnership between the CSU, the local ICS and the NHSEI regional team. They are responsible for the alignment and delivery of CSU service provision ensuring there is clarity and focus on supporting the delivery of the Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) objectives. Clare has been with MLCSU for four years.
During this time, she has significantly strengthened the partnership between MLCSU and the Lancashire and South Cumbria CCGs, shadow Integrated Care System (ICS) and emerging Integrated Care Board (ICB). She has provided significant strategic advisory input to ICS/ICB system leads and through her work on system and function redesign has created opportunities for CSU services, retained core income and positioned the CSU as the preferred system support partner for the future.
Clare has a clinical, academic, commissioning and management consultancy background and more than 22 years’ experience of working in and with NHS organisations. She is passionate about the delivery of high quality services for patient and has a strong interest in self-development, service development and performance improvement.
Clare has led a number of service redesign projects and held roles in primary care, urgent care, acute and community contracting, operational and strategic planning and programme managed the authorisation of Wigan Borough CCG. She has experience of working with NHS commissioner and provider organisations, STPs, vanguards, emerging accountable care systems, merging acute trusts and has also worked as part of a specialist NHSE/I improvement team.
Clare is also a Board Trustee and Chair of the HR committee for Manchester Care and Repair, a registered charity working across Greater Manchester to improve the homes and lives of older and disabled people.
