Webinar: Restoration, recovery and reset – engaging virtually with impact
As we move into the restoration and recovery phase of the national COVID-19 response, the health and care sector must consider its engagement requirements and duties when making decisions about service delivery.
With social distancing likely to be in place for some time, we are unable to rely on traditional methods of engagement and need to harness the potential of digital and virtual engagement tools and techniques, including social media.
To help organisations think through these challenges and opportunities, we are partnering with NHS Arden and Greater East Midlands CSU (AGEMCSU) to host a free webinar on engaging virtually with impact.
Taking place at 11am on Thursday 23 July, the webinar will cover:
- Legal duties and obligations
- Reaching out and engaging with patients and public
- Managing and conducting engagement online.
Hosted by our Head of Engagement, Involvement and Insight, Stephen Williams, and AGEMCSU Head of Engagement, Communications and Marketing, Andrea Clark, the session will share the approaches and tools we have developed collaboratively to help organisations move to virtual engagement approaches and reach those who still don’t have access to digital platforms.
The webinar will provide advice and guidance on how to get the best from virtual engagement, ensuring the appropriate collateral and support is in place for successful delivery. We will also be sharing our new stakeholder questionnaire. This explores how stakeholders have engaged with their groups and communities since the impact of social restrictions and captures interest from those willing to assist in promoting virtual engagement or hosting virtual engagement events.
Our approach also includes targeted social media engagement with specific groups and communities and support to enable organisations to meet the statutory requirement to reach all protected characteristics and the seldom heard.
