Ratna leads and coordinates the changes we are making to our way of delivering the future. She is focussed on the processes and culture change necessary to ensure we have the multi-disciplinary agility to support integrated care systems as they evolve.
With a background in local government, Ratna joined MLCSU in 2017 and has headed up the Improvement Unit since May of 2018 . She is a highly skilled and self-motivated strategic leader with a track record of developing and delivering successful, improvement and transformation programmes, involving multiple sectors and partners. She has experience of working within a range of sectors including commercial, voluntary, local government and the NHS.
She leads a team of 40 people delivering improvement and transformation programmes for local, regional, and national NHS partners including providers, integrated care boards and NHS England policy and programme teams. Her everyday focus is to support and enable transformative change, doing things differently, more efficiently and better, with the need of patients and their families at the heart of her work. She is working with our system partners to look at how we can continue to support them and become their system support partner of choice.
She also looks after areas that we as a CSU need to enhance, change or develop, including the involvement and support of our staff. Other areas of focus include workforce transformation and equality, diversity, and inclusion. Ratna is also passionate about her role as the sponsor for our ethnic diversity staff network at MLCSU and regularly encourages staff to engage with this and the disability and LGBTQ+ networks as well.
