MLCSU Guidance for Commissioners aims to improve services for military veterans

The MLCSU Equality and Inclusion Team has worked with a range of organisations to provide commissioners with information regarding military veterans.

It is hoped this will help raise the profile of the armed forces community and, linked to the NHS Long Term Plan, will help improve services for this group.

Using a range of information from The Royal British Legion, Tameside Armed Services Community (TASC) and Veterans in Communities (VIC) the guidance draws on identified health needs and information relating to the armed forces community. The guidance provides good practice case studies to improve services and address health needs of veterans.

The team thanks the organisations for their support in developing the guidance.
